Pitbull and Ke$ha Turn the Heat up This Summer

Mr. Worldwide and Ke$ha have teamed up to do a North America tour. Last Saturday they came to Long Island performing at Jones Beach Theater.  Between the wind and cold temperatures they managed to get the audience warmed up and dancing all night long.

Ke$ha was first to take the stage; she went through all her popular songs including ‘Crazy Kids’, ‘Die Young’ and ‘C’mon’.  Towards the end of her set she told the audience to get their cameras ready because she was going to perform a brand new song. The song, entitled ‘The Last Goodbye’ is about how she recently had to say good bye to the love of her life.  Her slow ballet brought the mood down, but she followed up the song with a blown up hippo and a pair of blown up legs.  Her performance was not what I expected and the audience made it clear they were there for Pitbull.

When Ke$ha’s set was over many people left to get food, go to the bathroom, or just walk around. They were the people who missed the amazing performance of the Jump Smokers. Originally from Chicago, Roman, Flipside, Marquee, and Johnny Digital have created dance club anthems leaving them know as the “Kings of the dance floor.” The Jump Smokers know how to make people dance with their smooth, clever, and creative remixes. If you want to dance, rock, and pop listen to Jump Smokers because they put all other club music to shame. Touring with Pitbull and Ke$ha has given them the notoriety they deserve. They really got the crowd hyped to see Pitbull.

The crowd was chanting for Pitbull who came on at ten. Dressed in a suit and tie as always; he never fails to put on a terrific performance. He sang his hit songs ‘Don’t Stop the Party’, ‘International Love’, ‘Rain over me’ and ‘Feel This Moment’ ft. Christina Aguilera. This had been Pitbulls’ first performance on the Island since Sandy. And back in December 2011 Pitbull graced the stage at the Paramount. Mr. Worldwide is internationally known for a reason. Pitbull kept the audience engaged throughout his entire performance. If he’s not already on your “must see” artists you might want to add him. And don’t forget to check out the photos of Pitbull at the Paramount on our website www.paramountny.com or on our Facebook page!

Overall the concert was entertaining and worth standing in the cold for. I got to watch Ke$ha run around on stage, dance a long with the Jump Starters and sing along with Pitbull.
