Come to The Paramount and Feel Alright

On May 23, Rusted Root and The Wailers will be co-headlining at The Paramount. Huntington will experience an intimate night with the music business’ most talented trailblazers; it will be a co-headlining experience Bob Marley himself would be proud of. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.com, charge-by-phone @ 800-745-3000 or visit us at the box office (open daily from 12 noon - 6 pm).

Rusted Root transcends age, generations, cultures and musical style with eight albums under their belt and over three million records sold worldwide. Their latest album, The Movement, is an energized and poetic collection of originals. Backing vocalist and percussionist, Liz Berlin says, “When we first got together as a band there was a groundswell of community, love and support that has taken us on a movement through our lives and together as a band. This movement has never stopped all these years!” Now their movement will continue with The Wailers for a spectacular one night event.

Original members of The Wailers included the man hailed as “The Artist of the 20th Century,” Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh, and Barrett Brothers, Carlton and Aston. Today Aston leads the band as it continues to promote peace, love and equality through music. They have had appearances at major festivals including Lollapalooza, Glastonbury and Rothbury, along with superstars such as Carlos Santana, Stevie Wonder, Sting, The Fugees and Alpha Blondy.  The Wailers have sold over a quarter of a billion albums, including seven top-ten entries on the British pop charts.

Both bands spread the same message spoken perfectly by Aston Barrett, “the oxygen of the people. It’s the message of roots, culture and reality, meant to spread peace and love.” Come to The Paramount to enjoy the sounds of reggae, rock fusion without the hassle of traveling into the city.
