The Paramount and Walk 97.5 proudly presents The Fray for a
two night event on October 23rd and 24th. The Fray, best known for
tracks such as “Over My Head (Cable Car),” “Never Say Never,” “How to Save a
Life,” and “You Found Me” formed in 2002 in Denver, Colorado. The original band
members decided on a name after asking people to put band names on a piece of
paper. They ended up picking “The Fray” randomly.
Fast forward 11 years, multiple sold out tours, 2 Grammy
nominations, and worldwide success to The Fray's newest album.
The album is set to drop before the end of 2013. They plan on debuting some of
their newest tracks at The Paramount. Guitarist, Joe King, promises to give the
audience what they want and plans on playing some of the older hits.
When the Fray sat down with Newsday reporter, Glenn Gamboa,
they discussed the exciting details of their tour. “We're excited to play these smaller shows,”
said King. “Just coming from the studio, there's a nervous energy that's almost
tangible -- not in an awkward way, but because this is the freshest expression
of what we've been working on.”
